Imtiaz Ali rejected Kareena

It seems one person was not impressed enough. And this person is the director of the film, Imtiaz Ali.

Imtiaz, who made his directorial debut in 2005 with Socha Na Tha, shot to fame only in 2007 with the success of Jab We Met. While it may have been Kareena's performance that attracted crowds in hordes to his film, Imtiaz seems less than grateful.

According to reports, Imtiaz refused to cast Kareena in Love Aaj Kal even though the leading man and the producer Saif Ali Khan was very keen that his lady love be cast opposite him.

Imtiaz, however, remained staunch in his selection of Deepika Padukone, who he felt, was perfect for the part.
